Michelin Guide 2026

Four Michelin stars on the Costa Smeralda

The Michelin Guide Italia 2026 lists four starred restaurants in the North-East, all within a short drive of one another. Three are returning; one is new this year.

ConFusion, Porto Cervo

Chef Italo Bassi's restaurant on the Porto Cervo old-harbour promenade holds its star for an eighth consecutive year — the only Michelin table inside Porto Cervo itself. The kitchen works from raw seafood, caviar and oysters, on a terrace over the water. Open seasonally, 23 April to 29 September 2026.

Capogiro, Baja Sardinia

The newest star of the four, awarded at the November 2025 ceremony. Capogiro sits inside the 7Pines Sardinia resort, run by executive chef Pasquale D'Ambrosio on a zero-waste, territory-first menu, with a sunset terrace above the bay and a cellar of more than 300 labels.

Il Fuoco Sacro, San Pantaleo

Inland from the coast, in the hills above Porto Cervo, Il Fuoco Sacro holds its star for a fourth consecutive year. The menu was created with Enrico Bartolini — Italy's most Michelin-starred chef — and is executed on-site at the Relais & Châteaux property Petra Segreta, using produce from the resort's own farm.

Gusto by Sadler, San Teodoro

South of Olbia, inside the Baglioni Resort Sardinia, Gusto by Sadler carries the name of Milanese chef Claudio Sadler for a fifth consecutive year — light Mediterranean cooking, resident kitchen.

The read

All four are resort- or hotel-based, all four are seasonal, and none is inside a town centre — reserving ahead matters more than the address does. Three have held their star for several years running; one is a genuinely new addition to the island's Michelin map for 2026.
